Hoffman Cooling – Thermoelectric Coolers

The Hoffman Cooling range of thermoelectric coolers has been designed to minimise downtime and component loss by removing the heat around critical components within an enclosure. The coolers require no condensers, compressors or filters and have a low profile, compact design.

This range includes the following
908-8771 - TE162024010 Portable 567Btu/h Air Conditioning Unit Peltier
908-8775 - TE162024011 Portable 567Btu/h Air Conditioning Unit Peltier
908-8781 - TE162048020 Portable 567Btu/h Air Conditioning Unit Peltier

Features and Benefits:

Ideal for demanding for demanding low maintenance environments
Compact design
Minimise downtime and components loss
Operating Temperature Range –40°C (–40°F) to 55°C (131°F)

British Thermal Unit (BTU) rating

The cooling capacity is the amount of power an air conditioner has and is given in a BTU rating. This means the higher the BTU rating is, the bigger the room it can cool and also be more costly to run.

Typical Applications

Air conditioning units can control room temperature and are used in places that require cooling or to remove moisture from the air. They are used in a number of both domestic and commercial environments.

FAQs

What size of air conditioner do I need for my room?
The size of the unit depends upon the size of the area of the room you want to cool. Units with a higher BTU will cool larger areas more quickly but this means you will also use more energy than one with a lower BTU. You should also take into account how many devices and appliances there are in the room that can create extra heat such as PCs, monitors and printers.

How noisy are air conditioners?
Air conditioning units emit between 37 and 82 decibels depending on their type and how old they are. For a comparison, fireworks can give up to 145-150 decibels (dB) and vacuum cleaners 70dB. These units emit 68dB.
