RS PRO Graphite Thermal Interface Material
RS PRO range of thermally conductive graphite interface material heat pads which are available in plain, 1 sided adhesive and PET coated. Thermal gap pads provide a thermal interface between heatsinks (devices or substances for absorbing unwanted or excess heat) and electronic devices. Theyre particularly useful where air gaps, rough surface textures or uneven surface topography prevent the use of traditional grease or paste.
Why is thermal interface material important?
RS PRO thermal interface materials also known as TIMs are designed to dispel and transfer heat out of electronic devices. During application, they are flexible and inserted between heat-generating semiconductors or components and offer high thermal conductivity.
Features and Benefits
- Thermally conductive graphite interface material
- Great thermal conductivity
- Colour: Black
- Hardness: 80 Shore A
- Easy to use
RS PRO Thermal Interface Sheet Variants – Available Separately
- 50x150x0.16 mm, no adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3979
- 150x150x0.50 mm, no adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3982
- 150x150x0.80 mm, no adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3998
- 150x150x0.16 mm, 1-side adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3973
- 150x150x0.50 mm, 1-side adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3985
- 150x150x0.80 mm, 1-side adhesive – RS stock no: 794-3991
Typical Applications:
Electronic devices need to maintain the right temperature to work effectively. If the conditions become too hot or too cold, this can cause the components to malfunction. To keep electronic components functioning at the right temperature, the devices use a variety of different elements such as thermal gap fillers pads and gels that will keep the temperatures in the right parameters for quality performance.
Thermal pads are used in various applications which include:
- Electronic components: IC / CPU / MOS LED / M/B / P/S / Heat Sink / LCD-TV
- Notebook PC / PC / Telecom Device / Wireless Hub
- DDR II Module / DVD Application
- Hand-Set applications
FAQs
How do thermal pads work?
By keeping the internal components of electronic products from wear and tear resulting from high circuit board temperatures, thermal pads help to provide extended longevity. Theyre also important in providing safety by eliminating the possibility of electrical fires. Thermal pads are soft and comfortable, which helps to provide vibration and shock damping to minimise potential damage to components. Theyre manufactured in a variety of standard thicknesses and dimensions but can also be custom fabricated to fit various applications.
Why RS PRO?
RS PRO have a great range of products for the heating or cooling of electronic devices, components, or enclosures to help devices maintain the right temperature to work effectively.
