Wireless PIR motion sensors function as a presence or absence detector and can turn lights on when a room is occupied or off when the room is empty. All units contain a built in RF transceiver capable of receiving input signals from additional sensors and RF switches. The transceiver also outputs signals to RF ballast controllers or other sensors.
These sensors can control light levels in response to ambient daylight using a built in photocell to maximise energy savings. Dimming units
711-8561 and
711-8580 provide a dimming control.
711-8568 uses the photocell for on/off override.
When used with programming handset (
711-8565) scene setting is possible.
All units transmit on/off signals wirelessly and have a relay output for direct control of luminaires. In addition the dimming versions also transmit the dimming signal wirelessly and can also output directly to the ballast.
The units include stored scenes for versatile manual on/off control of lighting.
711-8568 PIR motion sensor combined with RF transceiver and a switched output channel. The output channel comprises a mains voltage relay capable of simple on/off switching.
711-8561 PIR motion sensor combined with RF transceiver and two output channels to control incandescent, fluorescent and CFL lights. Output channel 1 comprises a mains voltage relay for simple on/off switching. Output channel 2 provides dimmable control of DSI/DALI ballasts for a maintained illuminance (constant light) setup.
711-8580 PIR motion sensor combined with RF transceiver and two output channels to control incandescent, fluorescent and CFL lights. Output channel 1 comprises a mains voltage relay for simple on/off switching. Output Channel 2 provides dimmable control of 1-10V ballasts in order to implement a maintained illuminance (constant light) system.
