Lumileds LUXEON CoB with CrispWhite Technology Series LEDs
Lumileds’ LUXEON CoB LEDs with CrispWhite Technology form a part of the LUXEON CoB family. This family of LED arrays utilise the industry-leading small light-emitting surface (LES) alongside a low thermal resistance. These high efficacy CoB LED arrays are easy to handle in manufacturing and operations and are also easy to screw down. The CrispWhite Technology delivers a natural, crisp whiteness whilst maintaining the warmer saturated colours of the high 90 CRI LED. This makes the LUXEON CoB LEDs with CrispWhite Technology ideal for retail applications. Other suitable applications include downlights, high bay, low bay, lamps and spotlights. The LUXEON CoB LEDs with CrispWhite Technology can also be used as a CDM-CMH replacement or for activating the fluorescent whitening agents in paints and fabrics.

CrispWhite Technology
Lumileds’ CrispWhite Technology is designed for retail lighting to make whites appear brighter and colours appear warm with high saturation. This technology enables exceptional rendering of whites and colours, echoing natural daylight from a single CoB light source. The intense whites and vivid colours created by the CrispWhite LEDs make fabrics appear richer, which is ideal for retailers looking to engage customers with their displays.
CrispWhite Technology works by uniquely activating FWAs and this is what provides the bright white effect. The CrispWhite LEDs have a high contrast between colder whites and warmer colours. Their colour liking is improved whilst colour fidelity remains strong at 90CRI. The CrispWhite LEDs offer a white effect from a 4000K light source and colour appearance from a 3000K light source, all within one package. They also create a second blue peak (∼410-415nm) in the spectrum that activates fluorescent whitening agents paints/fabrics.
With a negligible UV spectrum the CrispWhite LEDs offer a fading risk of 10 times less than natural sunlight, which is half that of traditional CDM shop lighting. LUXEON CoB with CrispWhite Technology devices contain violet LEDs and do NOT contain UV LEDs.
