Product Details
Use this battery-powered micrometer from RS PRO to measure the external diameter of an object. It has a liquid crystal display (LCD) that shows both imperial and metric readings, so you can use it to accurately verify the size of a wide range of fittings.
This micrometer is easy to use, as all you need to do is clamp the measuring faces around the object and the LCD will automatically display the measurement. It's supplied in a polypropylene (PP) case to protect it from damage when you're not using it. It has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP54, which means it's dust-tight and can withstand water spray from any direction. This kind of digital micrometer is used for a wide range of purposes, from plumbers measuring tubing to boat owners checking the diameter of stainless steel wires.
